Dear reader,
It is 02/28/2022, 9:19 Eastern European time. As I am typing these words and smoking my chesterfield cigarette - Ukraine, a sovereign nation, is being bombarded by ballistic missiles while the Ukrainian army alongside Ukrainian armed civilians are resisting heavy artillery; The United Nations General Assembly discussing what should be done; Putin showcasing Russian Security Nuclear System on high alert - Nukes! If you don't get the severity of this situation, imagine this, 'Defense affairs expert Sandeep Thapar told India TV Digital that if a 30 kiloton atomic bomb is used, an area of up to 4 km can be completely destroyed. Whereas if bombs of up to 1000 kilotons are dropped, then its effect can reach as far as 100 km' (Types of Nuclear Bomb, PBS news Hours). This might be a declaration of war on Europe. Nuking Europe would mean nothing but the worst act in Human History. Nevertheless, world leaders are working hard to deescalate the situation and restrict any type of action that could develop in the wrongest way possible.
Soo, yeah...sh*t got real...and fast in 2022. If the world thought it has seen the worst through the Pandemic years, an even bigger crisis submerges from the abyss of the "ex - USSR Regime". Let us not forget, that in this Universe no stone is unturned. Every action driven forcefully, ultimately has its consequences. Nothing that is happening now is by coincidence. Everything that we have done in the past has resulted in the present that we live in today. Make no mistake, passivity is also an action. So with that in mind, I think that we, humans from all over the world who are against Putin's regime, should not discriminate on all of Russia. We all know who is responsible and we mindfully agree that certain aspects of Russia as a whole are mixed in the equation without a reason, need or desire to be a part of it. This means that young/middle aged generations with a VPN and access to western media can see transparency, and therefore right through the Russian propaganda on their social media. Keep in mind, that is our biggest advantage today is the internet. Putin can only be truly hurt from inside right now; well, before it is too late and egomaniacs bomb "each other" (just to establish in the worst case scenario - the leaders are in well designed bomb shelters while you hopefully in are in your home made shelters). There is only one solution to this issue. And I feel like every experience of my life has guided me to this moment so I can share this one probably thought by everybody solution.
The Cold War, 1962 - Cuba/USSR --- United States Nuclear Crisis
'Through brilliant charism and intellectual dialogue, Kennedy deescalates a serious Nuclear threat on the world as we know it today. '
I do not if the quest of imperialism in Russia is a pathological generational need, transmitted down systematically and/or genetically in means of compulsive superiority. But we find ourselves in the same situation that we did 50 years ago. Only this time, we are at the footsteps of the 'Post-Soviet Regime's motherland'. In 1990, Gorbachev was awarded the Nobel Prize. Gorbachev single handedly turned the history books upside down with the happiest outcome possible for the collapse of the Soviet Union. Peace in eastern Europe, peace around the world. Today, a 180 degree turn, the world implores Putin to stop and admit some of his wrongdoings and pull back his trupes. NATO must not attack, as that would put a direct target on its' head for a nuclear strike. Yet of today, again, we live by the hands of egocentric beings.
So, our only russian-internal hope seems to be the "working class russians" who stand for themselves and are pro-freedom, pro-democracy and pro-peace. Russians can not debate the war, nor can they protest without being violently beat up/arrested. Yet there is one figure, who is still alive, and who can defiantly have a say in this Crisis at an internal level. Mikhail Gorbachev has nothing to lose but the views of the greediest man (Putin) in current human history. He is 90 and can still have a drastic influence in political and geopolitical terms. I know he is pro the annexation, but everyone is as it is a must for the Putin regime to survive. He has to know that he is one of the few who could still have a say in a national public fashion. He himself comes from Ukrainian heritage. There has to be a change in the system, and if he builds up the courage he could build a short term campaign that goes after Putin. If Gorbachev speaks out, as he is seen by Russians (and the world) - a REAL national and international hero - any aggression inflicted upon him will be a direct insult to every russian out there. I wonder what Gorbachev's real Soviet buddies would think of an aggression inflicted towards the ex-soviet leader.
Anyhow, I propose that we share 'how russians can access free vpn softwares' on russian android/apple/ microsoft/linux devices and constantly share with them the reality of the situation. In other words, find ways to infiltrate russian media and rightfully show the Russian people the real face of the situation, and how this gravely affects all of them. We need to be putting as much coverage of Ukraine and the world's reaction so that they get the point. I truly believe that incredible changes in a country can happens very fast. As an eastern european citizen of Romania, a country which prevailed communism through an incredible revolution against an aggressive regime, I can confirm that my parents truly wanted freedom and were willing to lose their lives if it came to be.
Here is how a revolution takes place: If suddenly the majority of the people protest, the army and police will interfere. The sooner such a massive scale protest happens, the sooner soldiers and police officers realise they are fighting their brothers, fathers, sisters and mothers. And the guns will turn towards Putin himself.
Please, I urge you to find an innovative way to promote media coverage of current crisis situation into Russian Media outlets. We can use the face of Gorbachev as an example for the people, to stern real patriotism for the real issues at hand and to let them know that it is possible to bring peace again and have a life where everyone minds their own business. It is about damn time that this issue is procrastinated. A revolution in Russia would result in bloodshed, yes. But nothing would be compared to a full fledged war between UN and Russia... possibly the end of mankind as we know it.
And all of which came from a small man with a superiority complex, spoiling such a wonderful and mysterious universe where we are lucky we even exist. Let's not let our existence be determined by this sociopathic, egocentric maniac. REMEMBER to use a VPN for your identity's safety. Tor is an excellent software to use!
Good luck and GODSPEED!
Sincerely,
a fellow human being
