Editing

Choosing the font for the title was harder then I expected. This is strictly because it had to be very representative to the film. In the end I choose the Urban Jungle Font - http://www.dafont.com/urban-jungle.font

Creating a rough cut, was incredibly hard because in the process of editing I saw that some of the shots were no relevant to our film and had to be abandoned. Even if they were visually pleasing, it would give wrong and false impressions to the film.

These are the 4 shots that were not used in the final cut.

Rough Cut

Final Cut

After rearranging the order of shots, the first step that I took was to create the credits. I chose Haettenschweiler font for the credits. Then I positioned it in pleasingly looking areas of specific shots.

Color Editing

Color Curves

Brightness and Contrast

Using the Color Curves tool allowed me to make the white actually be white, not a bluish, or a reddish white.

Adjusting the brightness made the picture look darker, which is exactly what I wanted. Then I played with the contrast to stress details out.

Sony Vegas was my choice for editing the film because I am used to the software and it provides hundred of options that many other basic editing softwares don't have. It has a few flaws, but for this specific part of my coursework it worked great.

Filming

 - Here Ema and I tried to figure out hot to put together one of the scenes. I also explained her the way she has to walk in order to make sense for the film and for her fit into the frame technically speaking.

This was the way I     -filmed while Ema Sprayed over the Camera in order not to damage it.

- Here I explained both of the actors the way they have to be positioned based on the lighting and the way it was reflected.

 - Filming the ending scene. Placing the camera on a correct track, in order for it to move at a good pace.

Trying out different angles for the camera. I also tried different shots from the script to see how they would feel in post-production.

The Final Product

Recording Narrative Voice

Recording the narrative voice took us longer then we anticipated because the voice had to be rerecorded over and over due to a miss-understanding between me and Ema. We had our ups and downs making this project but this only taught us to listen to one another more. It was a great project never the less.
